This rear swing-out winch bumper is designed specifically for the Takeuchi TL8R2 skid steer and built for extreme-duty use. CNC laser cut and precision bent from 3/8-inch thick carbon steel, this bumper is engineered to handle real-world abuse—not just look good on paper.
Unlike many bumpers on the market that rely on small pins that bend or seize after hard use, this design utilizes heavy-duty quick-release latches, allowing the rear door to open even after backing into obstacles. The swing-out hinge assembly is built using 1-inch thick Grade 8 bolts and 1/4-inch wall DOM tubing, eliminating weak points commonly found in pin-style hinge designs.
The bumper is designed around a Smittybilt 17,500 lb electric winch (winch not included). Without the winch installed, the bumper adds approximately 365 lbs of rear counterweight. With the winch installed, total added weight is approximately 515 lbs, providing substantial rear ballast for demanding applications.
